Kenya

Kenya is located in East Africa. Its terrain rises from the Indian Ocean's low coastal plain to mountains and plateaus in the center. The majority of Kenyans live in the highlands, where Nairobi, the capital, is located at an elevation of 5,500 feet (1,700 meters).

West of Nairobi, the land drops to the Great Rift Valley, a 4,000-mile (6,400-kilometer) rift in the Earth's crust. The jade-green waters of Lake Turkana can be found in this valley in northern Kenya's deserts.

Kenya is an ethnically, racially, and religiously diverse country. People from various backgrounds coexist peacefully, working, trading, and living side by side. The country also has a diverse geographical landscape, with inland lakes, snow-capped mountains, the Great Rift Valley, and sun-kissed white beaches.

The first things that come to mind when thinking of Kenya are lions, zebras, and leopards. However, this vast country has much more to offer. Kenya has 50 epic national parks and reserves that are home to diverse wildlife, including the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo—and reserves scattered throughout the country. It features almost every landscape and activity that you can imagine, and it will suit any type of traveler's palette.

Safaris are undeniably at the heart of Kenyan tourism, but you can also go deeper and meet the Maasai, a semi-nomadic tribe known for its colorful adornments. Nairobi is another interesting destination to visit, thanks to its vibrant nightlife and distinct vibe. The Great Rift Valley is a must-see for nature lovers. And for those who enjoy chilling at the beach, Kenya’s coastal area covers almost 80,000 square kilometers and remains sun-filled most of the year!
