Participants interested in Elephant Care should be in good physical health and comfortable working outdoors in hot, humid conditions.

Your journey will take place entirely on the tropical island of Koh Samui, Thailand — famous for its stunning beaches, lush jungles, lively markets, and welcoming local culture.
Accommodation
You’ll stay in our dedicated volunteer accommodation, located in a peaceful area not far from the beach and main town. Rooms are shared with fellow participants and equipped with basic amenities including a fan or air conditioning, shared bathrooms with hot showers, and common areas to relax and connect with new friends.
Nearby, you’ll find local markets, shops, cafes, and scenic spots to explore during your free time. The location offers the perfect mix of comfort, authentic local atmosphere, and easy access to all your activities.
Itinerary
Week 1: Culture & Island Discovery
Monday
Start your adventure with breakfast before joining an orientation session that covers Thai culture, program details, and essential dos and don’ts. After lunch, get ready for the week with a project meeting, then explore Lamai Beach and pick up essentials at local shops. Enjoy dinner to close out your first day.
Tuesday
Begin with a traditional breakfast and take part in offering food to monks while learning about Buddhism. After lunch, dive into an engaging Thai culture and language class, then enjoy dinner and reflect on your new skills.
Wednesday
After breakfast, join a craft workshop where you’ll make your own coconut shell keychains. Enjoy lunch, then visit the beautiful Na Mueang Waterfall and spend a relaxing afternoon at Chaweng Beach. Finish the day with dinner.
Thursday
Enjoy breakfast before heading to an elephant sanctuary, where you’ll feed and learn about these gentle giants. After lunch, explore the iconic Big Buddha and end the day wandering through Fisherman’s Night Market before a special welcome and farewell dinner.
Friday
Start with breakfast and join a Thai cooking class to learn how to make authentic dishes. After lunch, unwind at Lipa Noi Beach and enjoy the peaceful coastal vibes before dinner.
